Nice Little Saturday

Ash and I woke up early and went to Homegoods for some items for the basement. We also went to Home Depot to get paint and other assorted items. Ash is painting the cabinets in the basement. She is also painting the countertop with some type of faux marble finish. I decided to remove the sink, and in so doing did enough damage to warrant the purchase of a new sink. We had some breakfast at Adrianna’s and then headed home to get some work done.

In the afternoon we had tickets to see the new Top Gun movie. So we took a trip into Boston to the Regal Fenway theater. We were devastated when we arrived and were told the bar at the cinema was closed. Luckily, we were able to grab a drink next door. We enjoyed the movie, it hit all the nostalgia that most of us wanted.

Slow Friday

It was a bit of a slow Friday at school. Many of our students went to prom the night before, and were fairly tired today. Some work was accomplished on the canoes, but not very much. Ash and I went to The Quiet Few after work and had some dinner and drinks.

Premier League

Spent most of the morning watching the Premier League final day action. Was hoping Leeds would find a way to stay up, and with a lot of luck they did. Good to have an American couch in the Premier League, but it will be interesting to see how long he stays there. I washed Simon, even as thunder and lightning was flashing above. A bit strange as I did not see heavy clouds and there was no rain. Worked out as well, and did some more work cleaning my workshop.

Cleaning

This morning I woke up early in order to get some supplies at Home Depot and hit the grocery store before the day became too busy. Just needed some spray paint and outlet covers at Home Depot, and wanted some food items for the weekend for grilling. Ferg and I began cleaning our my workroom downstairs, but after a few hours we were far from finished with the job. Decided to use my beer can stand and grill a chicken in the Kamado, however, my Kamado Jr. was not big enough to fit the chicken, so I ended up doing it in the oven. Still good.

PT

After school today I had Physical Therapy at MassGen Brigham. There is a building at 175 Cambridge Street, and the physical therapy office is on the 4th floor. During the session today, my therapist told me her husband was from Arizona. He also went to Brophy, but graduated in ’09, much after me. Small world.

I had to get home quickly after PT because of the OHNC meeting. There was a discussion regarding a proposed development on our street at 124 Leyden. I’ve already counted the voting, and it was 82% against. I will write the letter to no approve tomorrow.
